DIRTSILK

Privacy Policy

Updated: September 25th, 2026

Our approach to your privacy is simple:

– We only ask for personal information we need.

– We share it only when the law requires it, when it helps us develop our products and services, or when we need to protect our rights.

– We keep it private and secure.

This Privacy Policy explains how Dirtsilk collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us through our website, www.dirt-silk.com, and any related services (together, “the Site”).

It covers information we collect:

– on the Site; and

– in emails, texts, and other electronic messages between you and Dirtsilk.

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Site, you agree to it; if you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

We may update this policy from time to time (see Section G). If you keep using the Site after an update, you accept the revised policy.

A. Personal Information

We collect personal information when you create an account, buy something, contact support, or otherwise interact with us through the Site.

“Personal Information” is any information that identifies you or could reasonably be used to identify you. Depending on how you use the Site, it may include:

– your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and payment details;

– anything you enter in forms on the Site, such as registration details, service requests, promotions, or surveys;

– messages you send us and our replies;

– your order, billing, and delivery history; and

– your searches and activity on the Site.

We use Personal Information for the purposes below.

Communications

We may contact you about products you have asked about or bought, your account or orders, and changes to our policies.

Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

We send marketing emails only with your consent. To stop them, click “Unsubscribe” in any email or write to support@dirt-silk.com.

Customer Support

When you contact our support team by email, phone, or in person, we collect what we need to help you, such as your contact details, details of your Dirtsilk purchase, and a description of the issue.

Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interest in providing good service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Purchases

When you place an order, we use your payment, account, and address details to process payment and deliver your order. Payment information is encrypted in transit using TLS, and our systems are protected by firewalls.

Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interest in secure transactions and fraud prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and compliance with financial and anti-fraud laws (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

We never sell or rent your personal information.

B. Other Information

When you visit the Site, some information is collected automatically from your device. We call this “Other Information”: data that does not by itself identify you, such as your browser and device type, IP address, device identifiers, operating system, internet provider, mobile carrier, and how you use the Site. In some regions, including the European Economic Area (EEA), the law treats this as personal information.

We may also record the website that referred you, the page you left from, and your approximate location (country or city). Where the law treats Other Information as Personal Information, or where we combine the two, we handle it as Personal Information. Otherwise, we may use and disclose it for any purpose.

This can include:

– the pages you visit and resources you use, traffic and location data, and logs; and

– your IP address, operating system, and browser type.

We may also use these technologies to track your activity over time and across other websites (behavioral tracking). To opt out, or to learn how we respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, contact us using the details below.

Automatically collected information is mostly statistical, though we may link it to Personal Information from other sources. It helps us:

– understand how many people use the Site and how;

– remember your preferences and tailor the Site to you;

– speed up your searches; and

– recognize you when you come back.

We collect this information using:

Server Log Information

Our servers keep logs that help us measure traffic and find and fix technical problems.

Cookies (Browser Cookies)

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Ours contains no personally identifying information and helps the Site work smoothly, for example by keeping you signed in and remembering your cart. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Site may then stop working.

Web Beacons

Our pages and emails may include web beacons (tiny images also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs). They show us, for example, how many people viewed a page or opened an email, which helps us see what content is popular and check that our systems are working.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand Site traffic and user behavior.

It shows us who visits, where they come from, and which content they find useful. We use this to improve the Site, personalize your experience and the ads you see, and detect fraud. Most browsers let you block these technologies, or you can contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

Social Media

If you sign in or connect your account through a social network such as Facebook, X, or Instagram, we may receive information you have shared there, such as your name, email address, and any profile pictures showing Dirtsilk products.

Other Third Parties

We share personal data with third parties only:

– when you give explicit consent;

– when necessary to operate and improve our services; or

– when the law requires it or another valid legal basis applies.

Legal basis: your consent, given through our cookie banner, for non-essential cookies, marketing, behavioral tracking, and third-party integrations such as social media and analytics tools (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); our legitimate interest in running, securing, and improving the Site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

C. Accessing and Correcting Your Information

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, restrict, or delete the personal data we hold about you.

You can update much of it yourself in your account’s profile settings.

Otherwise, email us at support@dirt-silk.com to:

– get a copy of your personal data;

– correct inaccurate or incomplete data;

– have your data erased (the “right to be forgotten”);

– object to or limit how we process your data; or

– transfer your data to another provider (data portability).

Deleting your data may mean closing your account. We may decline a request if fulfilling it would break the law, affect other people’s rights, or leave our records inaccurate.

California residents have additional rights, described in Section F, Your California Privacy Rights, below.

D. Disclosure of Information

We may disclose your Personal Information with your written consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), or when we reasonably believe it is necessary:

– to comply with the law, including laws outside your home country (Art. 6(1)(c));

– if you have breached our Terms of Use or other policies (Art. 6(1)(f));

– to prevent, investigate, or report crime or attacks on the Site or our network (Art. 6(1)(f));

– to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dirtsilk, our staff, our users, or the public (Art. 6(1)(f)); or

– to pursue legal remedies or limit our losses (Art. 6(1)(f)).

E. Security and Retention of Personal Information

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us right away at support@dirt-silk.com.

To stay safe online, keep your browser’s security features turned on and check for “https://” and the padlock icon before entering personal details.

We keep personal data only as long as we need it to provide our services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

In practice:

– Account information (such as your name, email, and device data) is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase or anonymize it within 30 days, unless we must keep certain records longer (for example, for tax or fraud prevention).

– Technical logs and diagnostic data are kept for a limited period (usually 90 days) to keep our services secure and reliable.

We may keep anonymized or aggregated data, which can no longer identify you, for statistics and analysis.

F. Your California Privacy Rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you additional rights over the personal information described in Sections A and B.

You may ask us to:

– tell you, for the 12 months before your request:

  – what categories of Personal Information we collected about you and where it came from;

  – the specific Personal Information we hold about you;

  – why we collected it; and

  – what categories of it we shared or disclosed, and with which categories of third parties; or

– delete the Personal Information we collected from you.

To make a request, email support@dirt-silk.com or write to us at Dirtsilk USA, Inc., street address, city, state, ZIP. We will respond as required by law.

G. Privacy Policy Changes and Disclaimer

We may update this policy without prior notice. If we make a material change to how we handle personal information, we will email you at the address on your account, so please keep it up to date.

No internet transmission is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its security, and you send it to us at your own risk.

H. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not intended for children under 16 (or a lower age set by an EU Member State, but never under 13), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Children under the applicable age should not use the Site, create an account, make purchases, or send us personal data.

If we learn that we have collected such data without verified parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
